RACHEL

Rachel graduated in 2012 from Kent State University with a Master of Arts in Speech Language Pathology. She was certified by the Ohio Board of Speech Language Pathology and the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association in 2014.

Rachel’s career as an SLP began in the public school setting. In her first few years, she supported a district with piloting a speech/language intervention program for elementary students and was the primary SLP serving preschoolers upon the opening of a new campus. Having time with young students, she has found an interest in picture based communication tools to support early communicators.

In the past year, she has started working in the private practice setting. Seeking out new methods to support speech production within another area of interest, she became a level 1 PROMPT-Trained therapist in late 2018. Rachel has recently married and moved to the Summit County area. Outside of work, she enjoys going on camping trips with her new husband and lifting weights.
